Smell What The Rock Is Cooking Gif

Anyone else remember Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson shouting from the center of the ring
"Can you smell what the Rock is cookin?!"

I do..

Apparently he's always said:

Yep.. He says "If you smell what the Rock is cooking" now - and always has.

The way history has it (now) is that he's always said "If you smell". Promoters added it to his entrance music, but changed it for context to "Do you smell" which he rarely if ever said, so they changed it to a sound byte of him shouting his catch-phrase: "if you smeeeeeelllllll, what The Rock, is cookin." -and that phrasing has become synonymous with Dwayne Johnson (source).

They're saying "If you smell what the Rock is cooking" is synonymous with Dwayne Johnson... lol

I don't remember that phrase at all - when I think of his wrestling days I think of "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking". I remember seeing him (several times) in the center of the ring - pointing out to the audience and shouting "CAN YOU SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING?!!"

..And I'm not the only one - there is tons of reality residue out there for this one - incorrectly titled videos, animated gifs, in books and other media, etc.

The problem is that he has never said "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?".

Is that what you remember?

If you think he used to say "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking" just like you remember, and something else must of changed - try to find a video of it - it doesn't exist.. ..Your fond memory is gone.
